Surf fishing often means carrying rods, coolers, tackle boxes, bait, chairs, umbrellas, and other gear long distances across soft sand. The Sidekick is designed to take that load off your shoulders.
Equipped with four 11.8″ balloon sand tires, the Sidekick provides the flotation needed to roll more easily across soft beach sand where traditional wagon tires can dig in or become difficult to pull. Load up your fishing equipment and make fewer trips between your vehicle and your fishing spot.
With a generous 350 lb. load capacity, there’s plenty of room for everything you need for a long day on the beach.
Ten Built-In Rod Holders
The Sidekick gives anglers dedicated storage for up to TEN fishing rods.
Four rod holders are welded directly into the inside corners of the wagon, while three angled rod holders are positioned along each side. The angled design helps keep rods more protected and reduces their overall overhead clearance when moving beneath covered walkways, entryways, or other obstacles.
Each rod holder is constructed from durable 2″ round aluminum tubing, measures approximately 9 inches long, and includes a welded pin at the base.
Even better, the holders aren’t limited to fishing rods. They can also accommodate compatible Kahuna accessories such as chair holders, cutting boards, table-tops, umbrellas, and more, allowing you to customize your wagon for your day on the beach.
Commercial-Grade Aluminum Construction
Saltwater, sand, and coastal conditions are tough on ordinary carts and wagons. That’s why the Sidekick is constructed from commercial-grade welded aluminum with stainless-steel hardware for exceptional corrosion resistance.

Solid Aluminum Bed with Drainage
The Sidekick features a durable 20″ x 36″ solid aluminum wagon bed with an interior measuring approximately 18.5″ x 34.5″.
A raised 2″ perimeter lip helps keep coolers, tackle boxes, buckets, and other equipment securely contained while you’re pulling the wagon across the beach.
Built-in corner drain holes allow water, rain, and melted ice to drain away instead of collecting in the wagon bed—an especially useful feature when your wagon spends its days around sand, surf, bait, and saltwater.
The deck sits approximately 15″ off the ground on reinforced aluminum undercarriages for additional strength and stability.
Balloon Sand Tires for the Beach
Four 11.8″ balloon sand tires provide the flotation needed for easier movement across soft sand.
Unlike narrow conventional tires that can sink into the beach, the wide balloon tires spread the wagon’s weight across a larger surface area, helping the Sidekick stay on top of the sand rather than digging into it.
That means less effort getting your rods, cooler, bait, tackle, chairs, and other equipment from the parking lot to your fishing spot—and back again at the end of the day.
Despite its generous carrying capacity, the Sidekick measures only 28.5″ wide overall, allowing it to fit through most standard doors, gates, beach access points, and entryways.
Comfortable, Easy-to-Control Pull Handle
An ergonomically designed aluminum pull handle with comfort-foam hand grips provides a comfortable grip and excellent control while pulling a fully loaded wagon.
The handle rotates a full 360 degrees for easier maneuvering, and its curved base allows it to remain upright when released. This helps keep the handle conveniently within reach while reducing the chance of it becoming a tripping hazard around your fishing setup.

Excellent product of course USA made
Outstanding product and service. I have received many compliments on the cart and hitch to carry it on a vehicle. The cart came package very well and only had a small ding on one of the rod holders. Unfortunately, one of the 11.8-inch beach tires was defective with a crack and Kahuna quickly replaced it no problems. (One can check the pressure on theses tires with a professional low pressure tire cage. A standard tire gage will not work!) I also purchased the all-terrain tire kit! It works wonderful and increases load capacity to 700 (+) pounds. The only issue with this kit is the rear tire axle sleeves are too short, and one has to use washers to fill the space gaps on the axle. Overall am very satisfied with product and service.
I am very happy with my Sidekick fishing cart. It’s light and well constructed aluminum. I love that the steering handle is detachable. The balloon tires makes it very easy to pull on flat surfaces. I try to pull the cart on flat sand as close to the water as possible. It rolls much better than my previous cart with only 7 inch balloon tires. I have gotten many comments about the cart in a very short time that I have owned it.
My only negative is that I wish it was available a little wider and longer.
I sent a picture of my newly assembled wagon to a friend of mine. My friend bought another brand of wagon a week before. My friend has wagon envy…..
